Unit 4 2.1 Addition
AO
2.1 Critically compare a range of contexts within which creative media technology and production are situated.
You have done this
https://lrunit4ual.blogspot.com/p/1.html
You need to add to it a little to complete AO 2.1
You need to add this to your unit 4 blog at the bottom of your representation page
Select 2 from the following tasks.
1- Do the Bechdel Test on a short scene from The Apartment and compare to a recent show/film that you have watched recently. What were the differences in results? Why do you think the results were what they were?
2 - The Oscars have had a fair bit of worthy criticism around equality and diversity in the last few years. Using either 2013, 2016 or 2020 - discuss why those events and years raised concerns about the progress of the filmmaking industry and discuss what might be done to have more equality and representation in the film industry.
2013 - https://www.newyorker.com/news/amy-davidson/seth-macfarlane-and-the-oscars-hostile-ugly-sexist-night
2016 - http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/35349772/oscars-so-white-what-people-are-saying-about-diversity-in-hollywood
2020 - https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2020/02/oscars-2020-female-directors
3 - Argue for/against The Apartment being misogynistic? Was this an issue at the time? Would it be now?
4 - Research 'Me Too' movement on google, summarise the movement and detail how this might this affect a film you make at college?

OLAF
Hi everyone. I'm Olaf. And I
like warm hugs.
ANNA
Olaf?...That's right, Olaf.
OLAF
...And you are?
ANNA
Oh, um...I'm Anna.
OLAF
And who's the funky-looking donkey
over there?
ANNA
That's Sven.
OLAF
Uh-huh. And who's the reindeer?
ANNA
...Sven.
OLAF
Oh. They're--oh, okay....
Makes things easier for me.
Ha. Aw, look at him tryin' to kiss
my nose.
I like you, too!
ANNA
Olaf, did Elsa build you?
OLAF
Yeah. Why?
ANNA
Do you know where she is?
KRISTOFF
Fascinating...
OLAF
Yeah. Why?
ANNA
Do you think you could show us the
way?
OLAF
Yeah. Why?
KRISTOFF
How does this work?
OLAF
Stop it, Sven. Trying to focus
here.
Yeah, why?
KRISTOFF
I'll tell you why. We need Elsa to
bring back summer.
OLAF
Summer?
Oh, I don't know why but I've
always loved the idea of summer,
and sun, and all things hot.
KRISTOFF
Really? I'm guessing you don't have
much experience with heat.

Do a full body self-portrait in front-view and profile in style of Pigeon Street
Use Illustrator and make sure the limbs and body are on separate layers.
You might want to start by tracing a character
Or by using simple shapes and then adapting them
